Oil and Gas Sector

Koveva is exploring the inclusion of natural methane seepages as a new protocol under the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) cap-and-trade program on behalf of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe. If the capture of methane from naturally occurring seepages is accepted as a new protocol by the CARB, it will provide the necessary economic incentive to capture and convert natural methane seepages into carbon offsets, which can subsequently be sold on a regulated exchange.
